Forecourt Trade Magazine’s Legal Doctor explains why retailers need to license TV’s used in store.

Forecourt Trader magazine, the trade journal for the automotive retail industry, has published an article by their “Legal Doctor”; Robert Botkai explaining which licenses retailers need when they play music or television programs in store.

In the article he discusses the positive effects that TV and music in store can have, including boosting sales, enhancing a friendly atmosphere and creating a good work environment for staff.

He explains that to play music and show TV programs in store you need to consider copyright licensing and goes into detail to explain how an MPLC license can and should be used.
